Privacy Statement

We attach great importance to your privacy. All personal data is handled with care and not passed on to third parties, except where necessary to fulfil your order or where legally required. Your data is stored and transmitted in encrypted form, so that no one can intercept it. We strictly comply with the applicable privacy legislation (GDPR).

Which data do we collect?

  • General data: name, address and town that you enter on the order form. We use these to process your order and in case of warranty or return.
  • Email address: to confirm your order, inform you about shipping and ask questions if needed. If you have subscribed to the newsletter, you will also receive offers. You can unsubscribe at the bottom of every email.
  • Phone number: to verify and deliver your order. We do not use it for marketing. You are not obliged to provide it; if it is missing, we will contact you by email.
  • Payment data: your payment is processed via our secure payment environment, facilitated by Buckaroo. We only use this data to check whether the order has been paid and for any refunds.
  • IP address: to remember preferences on the site and to verify we are dealing with the right person.

What do we use your data for?

  • Customer service: we record when and why you contacted us, so a colleague can help you faster.
  • Your account: here you can review your orders. We store your data so you do not have to re-enter everything each time.
  • Reviews: after an order we sometimes ask about your experience with the product and our service, to help other customers.
  • Fraud prevention: we proactively check for suspicious orders. In case of fraud we may be required to share data with government authorities.

Last updated: May 2026. Personal data is processed via our web shop. Mistlampen.nl considers careful handling of this very important. We specify our purposes before processing data, limit our collection to what is necessary, request your explicit consent where required, take appropriate security measures and respect your right to access, correction and deletion.

Processing your order

When you place an order, we use your personal data to handle it. We provide your data to our delivery service to deliver the order, and receive information about your payment from Buckaroo. For this we use your email address, phone number, IP address, billing address and name/address details. Certain customer data is kept longer due to the statutory tax retention obligation.

Your account

For certain parts you register with a username and a password of your choice. For this we use your email address, IP address, name/address details, billing address and phone number. We keep these until you close the account. You can adjust your data via your account at any time.

Contact form and newsletter

With the contact form you ask us questions; for this we use your data and keep it until we are sure you are satisfied with our reply. Our newsletter always contains an unsubscribe link. Your data is kept until you unsubscribe.

Sharing with third parties

With the exception of our delivery service and payment provider, we do not under any circumstances give your personal data to other companies or institutions, unless we are legally obliged to do so.

Google Analytics (GA4)

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to track how visitors use our shop. A data processing agreement has been concluded with Google, with arrangements about what they may record.

The security of personal data is very important to us. We ensure your data is well protected and continuously adjust our security.

Access, correction and deletion

You have the right to an explanation, access, correction and deletion of your personal data, to withdraw consent and to object. Always state clearly who you are, so we do not adjust data of the wrong person.

Complaint

If you feel we are not helping you properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
